Hi all,

I have a VGA switch box which takes two inputs:
1. my Windows 8 laptop
2. my Windows 7 PC (Professional, 64 bit, 4 GB RAM)

The VGA switch box outputs to a standard monitor, and I can choose (click buttons) which input I want outputted.

Problem:

Whenever I choose to display my Windows 7 PC on the monitor, more than one half of the top of the screen is cut off. I have tried directly connecting a VGA cable from the PC to the monitor, and this works fine. However, it is when I use the VGA switch box that creates this cut off display.

Is there any way I can solve this problem that the switch box creates?

Any help appreciated - thank you!

Did you try other ports on switchbox if there are any? Does the issue switch to Windows 8 machine if you switch the cables around?

No - already solved this problem by simply changing the display resolution to a lower one, while maintaining aspect ratio.

robotics5000 I noticed that all your threads state URGENT.

I read them and didn't see any life altering problems.

Could you explain why these problems are URGENT?
