Itis probably a software conflict. Does it do the same thing when you boot into safe mode (F8)?

Can we get the system specs?

Does it have a factory restore partition?

> Try a SFC, Option 2

Reboot on completion.

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

If SFC could not fix something, then run the command again to see if it may be able to the next time.
Sometimes it may take running the sfc /scannow command 3 or more times to completely fix everything that it's able to.

If not, then you can attempt to run a System Restore using a restore point dated before the problem occurred.
You may need to repeat doing a System Restore until you find a older restore point that may work.

We need your computer specifications including manufacturer.

If you haven't got a Windows 7 DVD or a factory restore disc (s) you need to create them before you do anything else. Your computer manual should explain how to do it.

You can also create a system repair disc, as this tutorial explains: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2083-system-repair-disc-create.html

You also need to be more specific as to to exactly what the problem is. Are you trying to copy and paste documents, web pages or files of any sort?

You might want to give this a try:

  • Control Panel
  • Internet Options
  • Security
  • Make sure "Internet" is selected at the top in the "Zone" window
  • Custom Level
  • Scroll down to "scripting" and make sure that "Allow programatic clipboard access" is set to "enable"
If c/p still doesn't work, repeat the above but select "Intranet" as the "Zone"

Hope this helps....

> Did you reboot after SFC?

> Have you tried a System Restore {to a period prior to the "glitch"} as I mentioned in my prior post?

> Have you a backup, made prior to the issue, that you could restore from?

This issue came up on my Win7 32bit professional recently. It worked before.....

After spending hours searching for an answer online somewhere, and got NADA FROM 50 FORUMS......

MOST if not ALL memory management software WILL clear the clipboard queue every time it engages..and it does so very often..in seconds usually. Check to be sure you do not have any kind of memory management or RAM MANAGER type of software loaded.

In my case it was Advanced System Care 5 from IOBIT software...LOVE THE SOFTWARE on Win 7..speeds everything up and clears out all the BS Miscosoft stuff running at boot... almost completely. But you have to go into its config to tell it to ignore the clipboard cache when it does it's memory management tasks. Otherwise it kills copy/paste functionality totally.

I about pulled all my hair out on this damn problem.

Ruraltownsisp your a star, took me a week to come across your post on here, and fixed my copy n paste problem in 2 mins.. thank you very much!!!!!!!!
