Why should, or shouldn't, I get Comcast?

FWIW .. I refuse to use Cable Phone.
My AT&T landline costs me ~$19 mth.
If I use the house phone for LD .. I use a Sams card at ~.04/min.

I also have an old phone, not wireless, so I can call even if the power goes down.
I know someone who's house burned down .. because they also lost power and couldn't call 911.

My Cable Phone is $19 mth. also but unlimited minutes + Canada

I had ATT before and was $34 something and no unlimited min.

Then we go to the office and complain about all the ads for cheaper rates.
They usually lower the price .. Then it starts all over again in about a year.

Kinda like .. if you too bashfull to complain .. They'll stick it to you.
The only thing made in this country anymore .. Is scams.

Comcast is decent, and they have alot of available speeds (atleast by me), if you have the money to dish out. Far as I know theres 12,18,22,24 mbs... and 50mbs (don't get it unless you have a money tree lol)

Their support is a pain though and alot of times I get weird ummm... complaints from them, Like they will tell me I did something wrong when A, it's not my fault and B, it's been going on for a loooooooonnnnggggg time. Their customer service isn't great either but that's to be expected.

The thing I really like about comcast is truthfully... they don't really bother me about the many, many things I tweak that I probably should be tweaking. The only time was when I managed to suck up a lot more bandwith than I was paying for, and also just now apparently me tranferring a song from one computer to my new one is "copyright infringement" and my comcast may be suspended because they got a report from some company about "copyright infringement" on a song. (hey, if its my comp to my comp and I bought the cd by law it's not copyright infringement so they can't do anything).

Otherwise like I said it's decent, and it's kinda hit or miss; either you get along with them or you dont', but either way they don't really bother you.

If you have the money I would recomend it.

Oh, and other people using comcast hardly ever effects me, but it's a pain when they have problems on their end because sometimes it takes awhile to fix.

Yup, everything in this country is scams and money, and money, and more money. (oh and obesity since I'm assuming you mean america.)

I'm guessing you saw the "twice the internet speed for free" add, or maybe "two times the speed for almost the same price".

I don't consider almost doubling my bill free or almost the same price... I always complain about the ads as well lol

Almost any company's support sucks
I just don't bother, unless I need something, like a plan upgrade, something that's impossible for me to do by myself

My last complaint was the TV audio wasn't in sync with the Video.
After the gun fight was over .. The gun was still going off in the holster.

I called and they said it would cost me $20 to get digital.
I said I had digital .. now make what I was paying for .. work.
Again .. I was told that I had to pay extra.

I called back a couple of times, then got someone who said they could drop my price ~$20 .. and they'd be right out to fix it.

After two trips to replace all my cables .. the third guy laughed ..
And pulled the plug on the digital receiver (master reset) .. and said .. anything else ??

lol, jackasses. oh well, what can ya do?
Some people just don't know what they're doing, but luckely they're people that do, and are happy to help you, free of charge, b/c it's an easy fix.

I'm using Comcast, Digital Cable/Digital Voice/Cable Internet as well.
I have had no problems with BitTorrent traffic, I can get 8MBps download speeds and 300kbps upload. No problems at all with any of these comcast features. I would highly recommend the switch. More importantly, I saved about fifty bucks a month with the switch from AT&T.

I currently have comcast the cap does worry me sometimes just make sure you have a bandwitch monitor if its really a issue.

Never experience any down time and the TECH support are very helpful.
Last 2 week, my area have upgraded to DOCSIS 3.0 and my speed go up to 22Mb/5Mb , So I called for a new D 3 modem and was very happy with the new speed.

Just 2 day ago, I called and asked about the Extreme 50/10 and the HSI Tech support told me a promotion rate $69.99 and I went for it.....check my downstream:

I wish I could get that speed here.
The highest that Comcast offers for me is 12Mb down.
Verizon is putting in Fios around here, but it won't roll out for another year or so, plus it will probly take longer for them to get it to resdential places.
And also, I've learned that Verizon sucks
