Win 7 Pro x64, ASUS P5E-WS Pro and Marvell LAN prob

My system was the above hardware running Vista Ultimate 64 which had no problems.
I did a fresh install of Win 7 Pro x64 onto this same hardware.
Devices were all found etc, but there is one annoying problem.
The ASUS board has 2 marvell giabit lan connections, these are connected to a Netgear 8 port Gigabit switch.
When Win 7 boots, it will only connect the lan at 100Mbit sppeed and NOT 1000Mbit speed.
Once the system is up and running, if I unplug a lan cable, wait a few seconds and then plug it back in, it will connect at 1000Mbit.
I then do the same for the other lan cable.
This gets a bit annoying.

I have tried the latest Marvell drivers etc etc but it never makes any difference.
Vista did not have this problem.

If I set the connection speed to 1000Mbit instead of Auto and reboot, it will NOT find the connection at all (ie the light is OFF instead of yellow or green).
So far, the only way to use 1000Mbit is to boot up, unplug and plug back in the cables.

Wondering if anyone else has this board with Win 7 and a gigabit connection.
