Hi and welcome

have you lokoked in event viewer (type event vwr in search) go to the wondows log>application tab. Look for errors (ref in left column) theat have app hang, app crash, or winamp in tehm. they will be there when you find them note the event ID and source codes and let us know what they are.\

Let us know if you need help with any of this

Thanks for the replay .. I looked for error in Event viewer but didn't find any. The actual behavior is it sits in the Task bar won't open but it Processes the Memory usage is kinda of dtable like 24,234 K doesn't change from that. The program doesn't say non-responding I tried to uninstall and reinstall couple of times and checked in different Windows Profile

are you using a Winamp skin with a .wal extension by any chance? Just wondering because I got some errors in W7 with .wal skins that I didn't get with .wsz skins. I never got to the bottom of it but it seemed to have something to do with skin scripting or something. It's just one thing you can try to see if it starts working.

Winamp does seem to go around crashing on it's own from time to time, but since switching to Win7 I only keep Winamp for encoding my MP3s to M4As, and simply use WMP12.
Is Winamp the only idotic program which assigns the album art as a separate file in a folder instead of thumbnailing it to all music files? When I discovered that, it was the greatest reason to kick it in the ass and toss it aside.

(Six9siX, Yugoslavia, lol, change that, please :p)
