HD has already been checked, as per the first post:
>> Seatools has done all of its tests on my HD with no issues detected.
CHKDSK has also returned no errors

I really don't think its a graphics card issue; but I'll run Furmark anyway...

EDIT: Furmark ran fine for 15 mins; no artifacts. Levelled out at 68 degrees at around 2 mins in; with very occassional nudges up to 69 degrees. Turning off the furry object made it drop back to around 43 degrees (the obvious dip in the middle is where I tried this).

The background in Furmark should be blue and less distorted. This is version 1.12...

Really? Well, I am apparently using 1.9.2. Does that make any difference?

Hmm... but if Furmark is screwing up; I'm really wondering whether its a general motherboard problem.

Actually, I see what I did; I followed the link, ignored the honking big download button (I tend to do so automatically!) and pressed the first link that said download. Looking at the screencaps of 1.9.2 it is supposed to be orange and wibbly like that.

Also just tried resetting the router to factory settings; but still getting a slooow/malfunctioning google and inability to do any direct downloads. Using IE makes Google faster, but it still has the same download problems. With this problem now I'm now having a bit of a nervous breakdown. <headdesk>

OK, that should at least rule out hardware, I think. Here's my orange furmark screen.

Lol mine is very orange in comparison. But that might be the monitor/CCC colour settings I guess. That said, I have got artifacts from time to time playing newer games (Thief, Sleeping Dogs etc.) though I've had no problems at all replaying Dragon Age (with a HQ texture pack mod) the last few days. I've just previously dismissed this as inevitable though; most of the time it is just a minor flicker/checker in one isolated area of the screen.

Also to add; ran CCCleaner. Nothing terribly significant found; a couple of usual missing file extensions, stuff like that which always shows up.

Managed to complete a download by stopping and starting it repeatedly in DownTheMall. Seems it hits a threshold of data or something.

Just a thought or two. Do you have 'Safer Mode' enabled in Online Armor? Try disabling that and test.

CCC has been known to cause a lot of issues too, try uninstalling that. I don't think it's really needed since w7 has a lot of video options along with in-game settings.

Can you follow this post and upload the text files generated here with your next post. The results should give us a better insight into the background processes and configuration that may be causing this issue.

I will admit that this is a bizarre issue and I cannot quite put my finger on the probable cause of this. Not sure what anyone else thinks?

Josh :)

No there is no safer mode enabled in OA.

In attempting to download the CCC Clean uninstaller, the system froze again with a black screen and went unresponsive. Upon restart, I headbutted the desk again and reset the bios to the factory settings and ran a startup repair. This only succeeded in restoring the User Mode Driver crash and causing a slower start up.

Bitdefender has now ceased working entirely and constantly wants me to reboot the system so I've had to close it.

Finally finished downloading the AMD CCC uninstaller and it is running now.

And upon completion of the clean uninstall of Catalyst, the system instantly froze again. Upon restart, it decided to reinstall all of my USB drivers for no apparent reason. I'm am currently in 800x600 resolution. Bitdefender is dead again and OA didn't even try to boot. Still not able to download anything properly; everything is now stuck at 0%, even if using Downthemall, so no ability to get any more diagnosis programes Probably ****ed, eh?

Reinstalled the Radeon drivers without using the Catalyst installer and we're back to 1600x900 again at least. Bitdefender is still dead.

Minitoolbox managed to download after the third attempt, probably because it was small. Larger downloads are still stuck at 0%. Output from minitoolbox as requested is attached.

Well first of all bitdefender is known to cause issues.

Replace it with MSE

What was the user mode driver?

I'm curious if there is anything in the event viewer.

Go to Start and type in eventvwr then hit enter.
Go to Windows Logs, then right click System and click Save All Events As...
Save it to your desktop, upload it in a zip folder.

<raises eyebrow> Seriously, MSE? Isn't that as holey as swiss cheese? Even Microsoft aren't recommending it last time I checked. I only picked up BitDefender after looking through alot of reviews on free anti-virus (used to use Kaspersky, but my license finally expired).

Event Viewer log is attached. OTL is currently running as well, managed to get that with the first download luckily.

Network wise the logs seem fine. There is however quite a few errors regarding Online Armour. Your helper driver is not configured properly and has been disabled.

Problem: : This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed. (Code 24)

Devices stay in this state if they have been prepared for removal.
After you remove the device, this error disappears.Remove the device, and this error should be resolved.

Equally you have a driver that hasn't been installed though I understand that you have been having some more pressing issues which may be why.

Yes, those are Japanese Visual Novels. I'd imagine they come out as ? marks because the data is in Kanji.

OAHlp has been screwed for some time; but short of uninstalling and reinstalling it I don't know what to do about it.

Not even sure what the unknown device is. It seems to have suddenly appeared in the Device Manager. All it says is something about ACPI/PNP on its description, nothing else.

OTL has completed its run.

DM Log collectors result was already posted earlier, doctor. (http://www.sevenforums.com/attachme...ms-dcom-white_suzaku-04_05_2014_130009_77.zip)

Can you upload the msinfo file.
Go to Start
Type msinfo32.exe
Then click File > Save
Save it to your desktop, zip it up then upload that.

Can you not click find driver at all?
Does it have no other description.

The unknown device has no other description, no. Attempting to update the driver just makes windows check the update service and shrug.

Did you uninstall these? That might be the reason for the unknown device. If memory serves me correct, Rapid Storage Technology is a disk controller driver.

There's quite a bit of information here so I am just churning through it and looking for anomalies.

No, Rapid Storage is still working; it provides a tray icon when it does. I haven't tried to uninstall it at any point.
