Hey guys. I would appreciate some help. Whenever I start my computer it gets stuck on "Starting Windows" screen for some time. Computer is new, no viruses. There was also an auto disk check and I disabled it. Could this be the problem?

Hello-
If the OS scheduled to do a DSKCHK you better let it do its thing. It might be that your system disk has errors on it, specially if it is not finishing its boot sequence. It usually takes 30 minutes to a few hours, depending on the size of the disk. I'd boot again and not cancel it (DSKCHK.) I bet it will boot when it's done ;-)

CHKDSK (short for "check disk") is a system tool in DOS, OS/2 and Windows. It verifies the file system integrity of a volume and fixes logical file system errors. It is similar to the fsck command in Unix.
