windows 7 - dual boot windows 10 - partitions

- Open Disk manager and assign letter W: to disk 0 partition 2 (100M - Fat32 EFI)
- Open a CMD window as administrator and type:
bcdboot F:\Windows /s W: /f UEFI

reboot

i changed with a active partition manager
and then made the operation.

on boot on windows 7 it give a fast blue screen and reboots
if i try safe mode it freezes at disk.sys

Where did you get the Win 7 installation files?

Normally you wouldn't be able to install win 7 on a i5-8250U computer without adding some drivers to it.
SIW2 knows everything about the drivers you need and how to add them to the Win 7 partition.

i downloaded a "all in one" iso from a site. i tried with different versions that have drivers already included...


altough i can, if this is indications from you guys,
format the windows 7 partition and install a fresh copy
i just dont want to format windows 10 again :-(

Don't do anything radical.
I think all you have to do is to add a NVMe driver to the Win 7 files on F:
I have to study your case to give you instructions.

hello. yes it is. what i have done was:
installed windows 8.1 x64 on windows 7 partition
then instlled windows 7 over windows 8.1 partition

my uefi is legacy > uefi first

only thing is that boot logo is from windows 8 and not from windows 10 :-(

- any way to change it ?
- also the boot menu to choose OS is in text mode.
is there any bootmanager more graphical than i can use instead of that one?
