Windows 7 Fails to Update error 80073701

Hi,

I'm trying to fix a laptop at work that is failing to run windows update.

The laptop is running Windows 7 Professional x64 with SP1

The error I receive is:

Code 80073701 Windows Update encountered an unknown error.

I've attached the CBS logs as instructed.

I can't find any signs of an SFC scan in the uploaded logs? they may be in another of the CBSPersist files.
CheckSUR is clear.

The actual error your getting is related to this...
