I recently had WINDOWS 7 Home Premium installed over WINDOWS 7 Professional, but I am still suffering problems. They are identified as follows:

(1) As regards my printer (an EPSON WP-4590 that always functioned/worked with
WINDOWS 7), I have drivers for it that will not install, nor will my printer install;

(2) I also have a download for I.E. 11 that is supposed to work/function with
WINDOWS 7, but it will not install; and

(3) In my C: folder, I have something called “Windows.old” which I do not
understand at all.

If someone wise may be able to help me with some understandable knowledge, I would be most grateful.

Respectfully Yours,

Where did you get IE 11 from? If not direct from Microsoft, download it again from MS here:
Download Internet Explorer 11 (Offline installer)

The Windows.old folder is created whenever you perform an in-place upgrade, it contains the previous version of Windows. It indicates that at some time in the past your system has been upgraded, most likely when you installed Home Premium over Pro. The creation date of Windows.old may give a clue.
