I just upgraded to Windows 7 last weekend by doing a clean install from a win741.com purchase. I am currently using a HP Pavilion a6500f computer with a 500GB hard drive. I have been getting BSOD errors over the last several days and it is driving me crazy. I am not extremely knowledgable about internal computer jargon, but if someone can help me, I would be extremely grateful. I have attached the mini-dump files.

Hi alex and welcome

Pretty straight foward. Your USBPORT.sys which is almost 2 yeard old probably caused the crash.

I would update all teh relevant drivers. BIOS< video, USB, etc

then run a system file check to verify and repair your system files
yype cmd in search>right click and run as admin>SFC /SCANNOW

I guess I spoke too soon. Everytime I try to put a file on my Western Digital 500GB portable hard drive, I get the BSOD. I have attached the most recent .dmp file.

I assume the WD is an external USB HD. The cause of this crash was just like the last time. The USBdriver. It is still 2 years old and will cause these. there must be a newer driver somewhere.
I wish there was something I can do but the only thing is to keep verifying that it is still the same problem

And yet again another 64bit driver problem

Update the networking drivers as suggested.
The USB drivers are a part of your motherboard/chipset drivers. Here's a link to them: NVIDIA DRIVERS 15.49 WHQL

Since it's always the WD external that's involved in the error - I'd suggest running a hard drive diagnostic on it. Here's a link to the WD support site: WD Support > Downloads > Select Product
