Windows 7 logon not working properly

I had to do a clean reinstall of Windows 7 Ultimate and now when the welcome screen pops up I get an error stating Invalid Username or password. The only option I have is Okay. When I click okay it then pops up with my username account, not the Admin and I can key in a password and start windows. My account has admin privileges so that's not an issue but that extra step to get to my account is annoying.
Any suggestions???

during the windows setup did you enter in any admin username's or passwords? I'm not sure if 7 asks you but i know that XP did during setup. Just a thought

Disabling the Built-in Administrator Account USING ADMINISTRATOR ELEVATED CMD PROMT

OPEN CMD PROMT
win key + r
type cmd in the run window
click ok
cmd promt window will open

OR

click start button
click all programs
scroll to accessories and click
right click command promt
in the context menu click run as administrator ( if asked for password enter password for admin)





copy and paste either of the following commands in the cmd window and press enter


Original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and system builders are required to disable the built-in Administrator account before delivering the computers to customers.

Run the sysprep /generalize command

When you run the sysprep /generalize command, the next time the computer starts, the built-in Administrator account will be disabled.

OR

Use the net user command

Run the following command to disable the Administrator account.

net user administrator /active:no
