Windows 7 BSOD - Graphics driver related

I got a new Windows 7 machine the other day, hooked up my monitor (HP 2159v) but having been having problems getting the two to work together

When Window's boots everything is fine, but slowly the black lines start appearing across the screen (left to right)

These build up until the system BSODs but the monitor goes at the same time so I can't read it (or understand it)

Graphics card is an ATI Radeon HD 4350, has the latest drivers, etc.
Installed the drivers for the monitor, all up to date, etc.

Attached is the minidump file windows gave me after it BSODs

Hi and welcome.

Not too much to say about this - everything "looks" alright, besides the actual bsod.

So, you can try to update your system bios if one is available.

Also, update these drivers to latest:

Visit ATI's site and download the latest driver to install.

When you go to Control Panel > Device Manager, then click on the Display adapter, what is listed?

On the ATI site I can only find the 9.11 catalyst/drivers which I've already installed, not sure where to find the others?

Edit: Ok, just updated to the 9.11 drivers but still having problems

As for Device manager, under Display adapters it says "ATI Radeon HD 4350"

Also just to add (if it helps!) when I boot the screen has lots of fuzzy lines across it, when Windows starts to load these all disappear and it looks fine before slowing becoming all patchy and finallying BSODing as described in the OP.

Did you download the driver from here:

You can inpiy in your specs for the Radeon 4350

The over-obvious question is... 'have you tried reseating your card, or tried running with a different graphics card altogether?'

All the aberrations could very well be symptomatic of a failing or overheating GPU, or possibly even a badly seated graphics card.
