Just for fun, I want to attempt to install Windows 7 on a computer that does not meet the official minimum system requirements.
Specs of this PC:
Cyrix MII @ ~300 MHz
768 MB (256 x 3) 100 MHz SDRAM (not DDR)
ATI Rage 128 AGP graphics card
80 GB SATA HDD (upgraded, with PCI card for the SATA)
I put the specs of most concern in bold. As for the video card, I can upgrade that if need be. What I'm really wondering is... can the Cyrix II even process the instructions for Windows 7 (albeit extremely slowly, of course) or is its instruction set simply too old?
