Required digitally signature drivers mean more stable than 32bit.

32 bit is outdated.

32 bit can't see more than 4GB no matter what.

Because in the first part there is another message listed at the bottom. The "**" mentions about how it will be shipped when it becomes available. I'm going to talk to newegg today to confirm.

It's merely a fact that due to my low post count that what i present gets discredited. its not just on this forum, any forum where a low post count member tries to present something, itll be shot down until a member who's been around says something.

The NewEgg offer is valid and I placed an order. Since I already have licenses to Vista products, I will sell the new box and keep the Win7 upgrade license. I break even, get another Win7 license and remain compliant.

The apparent invisibility of the big orange button may have a pathology stemming from myopic cephalgia. I am only sharing my amusement that NewEgg is offering a free copy of the RC in a combo deal.

well your image didn't carry across to the quote, but as i mentioned in the initial post, i was unable to create a new thread in the "news" section, where i deemed it fit better than in general discussion. i clicked "new thread" and it told me i was unable to do so. i presume its due to my post count and what not and that's fine.

The banner offers a free copy of a free product. The Release Candidate is freely distributed by Microsoft and no "Combo Deal" is required to obtain it. Someone at NewEgg was asleep at the wheel.

There is no reference whatsoever, anywhere, pertaining to the quality of the information you linked to. Your own protestations notwithstanding, no one is discounting the value or validity of the information you presented. Actually, I posted "... the deal is real..." Perhaps I should have written something in English.

It is in fact a combo deal. What it is essentially doing is getting you Win7 RC already on a disc for you and I'd assume as well with a license for you to use. This saves the user from having to go through the process of downloading and registering if they haven't done so already. While that doesnt apply to most of us here who are most likely ahead of the version that would be sent (i would say 7100).

So yes the RC is available for free to anyone, Neweggs offer doesn't require you to download it, you will be sent a disk.

Just wanted to provide some supporting evidence.

PS: I should add I love Newegg combo deals. I'm using two of them right now: my i7 920 CPU + a big-a$$ air cooler (works great with OC!), and my mobo + 12GB DDR3 1600.

I think you confused him with those big words - he hasn't learned my trick of skipping anything with more than five letters (I was going to say four but that would be awkward).

November sounds good. I do Indian & Mexican (I'm a vegetarian, and occasionally a vegetable) - Italian has too many carbs, but a possibilty . We'll argue about who pays .

OK, I've re-read the evidence, and I'm going to have to side a bit here with Lastelement0 too. Apparently it is NOT a typo. You get the RC now, and the upgrade to Win 7. The funny part is they advertise you get the RC, but you need to wade through the product page to realize you also get the free Win 7 upgrade when it gets released, which is the main selling point IMO. Go figure!

No worries, we often do not as well.

While there can be some modest challenges using 64-bit Windows, they are, by and large, fading away. Your tears of usage in the 32-bit environment were not wasted. Essentially everything you learned is still applicable.
