Solved Windows BSOD Problem

Hello, recently i had a issue which forced me to reformat and reinstall windows but every time i almost get into the Installation screen i BSOD and cant install/repair or anything. If i try and let it boot from the HDD i get the Boot Manager is missing or corrupted error. So i literally cant get into windows nor can i install windows. I am at a loss for what to do right now, i have tested other HDD's but come up with the same problem time and time again, on a few HDD"s that i was testing were from a friends work which were already preloaded with Windows XP (i am using Win 7 Home Premium 64 Bit) it loads till the login screen then shuts off my keyboard, but when i try to format/install Win 7 on that HDD i get the BSOD problem again. Help would be very much appreciated. Also just to clarify i keep getting the "STOP: c0000 21a Fatal System Error" error no matter what HDD i use. I have also tested each piece of the comp on seperate systems as well, and they all work "mobo, memory, psu, cpu, gpu all work"

I already read that but i cant get my computer to even start so i cant download and run that. I can never make it past the "Starting Windows" screen. When i try to get to the Windows 7 Install screen, it loads the files from the CD and makes it to the "Starting Windows" screen where the 4 windows logos fly in, the shortly after that screen it BSOD with a
STOP: c000021a 0xc0000001 0x001003f0

Which i am not sure how to fix. I found a post that someone said they had this problem and found out that their cpu heatsink was not on properly making the cpu overheat but i have already made sure that it was seated properly and i had plenty of thermal paste (not too much or too little) so im not sure what to do at this point.

No, i cant boot to anything, the only time i can boot is if i put my friends work hdd in that has Windows XP installed on it but my keyboard and mouse turn off so i cant log in, but no matter what hdd i put in i cant format and install a Windows 7 64 bit on any of them. Prior to having to reformat i have had Windows 7 64 bit for about 9 months with no problems whatsoever until now. Roomate's PC stopped booting and wouldnt even show POST screen, so she got a new computer and she said i could have her Evga Nvidia GTX 285 that was in it for a upgrade from my asus radeon hd 6670. When i placed it in, turned my computer on and about 15 seconds after i turned it on it shut down. Since then i have not been able to boot any hdd or format/install Windows on any hdd i have tried. Also tried replacing my memory but that seemed to make no difference, also tried replacing mobo to no success. (also i have stopped using the gtx 285 and went back to my 6670).

P.S. I just got it to format and install Windows XP 32 Bit, but i tried a copy of Windows 7 32 bit as well and the XP has no problem loading, but every copy 32/64 Windows 7 gives me the BSOD before i get to the install screen, but the Windows XP has no problem installing at all. Im at a loss of why this is, my computer is more than capable of handling Windows 7 64 Bit...

It could be an overheating issue, can you boot into BIOS and check your temperatures?

I cant find anywhere in BIOS to change or edit this nor to see what its set to at all.

These 2 listings are the only thing i see that have anything to do with the hdd and i dont see anything about AHCI

Also just put in my brand new Western Digital Black 1TB 64 MB Cache hdd that arrived and i still have the same problem when it gets right before the splash to click install/repair screen it gives me the BSOD with the same error.

Widdower989, There is a way to change, but it really shouldn't matter. When you get to the where do you want to install windows, do you see tour hard drive, and how many do you see?

It literally BSOD's right before that screen ever appears. Also now the stop code changed slightly after i flashed bios, instead of:

STOP: c000021a status of 0xc0000001 0x001003f0

it now reads

STOP: c000021a status of 0xc0000001 0x001803f0

OK, you only list 1 hard drive in your system. If you have more drives, disconnect 1 of the wires from each one except the one you are installing windows to. Go into bios, look at your ram timings (just the first 4) look at the frequency and dram voltage. Make sure they are the same as the stickers on the side of the ram sticks or from the manufacturers packaging or web site. Set optimized defaults. Set the ram timings, voltage and frequency, set the DVD as 1st boot device and the hard drive as 2nd boot device. Put the installation DVD in the DVD drive, save and exit. You should boot into the DVD drive. On the first screen where it says pick your language, don't pick your janguage, hold down the shift key and press F10. You will get a black command window. Type diskpart and press enter, wait for it to respond diskpart. Type list disk and press enter, If you did as instructed above you will only have 1 disk listed, it will be disk 0 (number 0 not letter) type select disk 0 and press enter, it will respond that disk 0 is the selected disk. type clean and press enter. It will respond that diskpart has cleaned the selected disk. Type create partition primary size=200 press enter, it will respond that diskpart created the selected partition. type exit and press enter, type exit and press enter again. You should be back at the select your language screen. continue. when you get to the where do you want to install Windows, close the 1st partition. That's the one you just created. select that partition and click install and see what happens.
