Solved Windows Cannot be Installed to Disk 0 Partition 3

Man, I was getting really frustrated with this problem. Just put together a new system last night and it loaded and ran flawlessly all day until I decided to try tweaking something and messed it all up. I could not get it to boot at all and kept getting an error message "Bootmgr is missing". I finally got it to boot from the Windows disk but kept getting that error that the disk needed to be enabled in Bios. Finding this thread was just what I needed and I got it to work on the second try. when I actually followed ALL of the instructions.

only one partition with 100 GB

Hi gregrocker,

i had a similar problem. Wanted to reinstall Windows 7 Starter on my Toshiba NB 550D. Got the ISO file of the Win 7 on a bootable USB stick and put the usb at first priority in the BIOS. But when installing and choosing partition, i got this error message on all my three partitions (disk 0 partition 1, disk 0 partition 2, disk 0 partition 3):

Windows cannot be installed to this hard disk space. The partition was reserved by the computer's original equipment manufacturer (OEM).
Details:
Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The disk may fail soon. If other hard disks are available, install windows to another location.

I just had the option to search for drivers or to format. I formatted the disks but the message continued.

Then I did what you wrote. I typed exactly the same in the command box. And it worked actually. Now I have the Win 7 working, but don't have internet access. Network adapter is off, or something similar showed up.
Another problem is, is that now I just have one partition with 100 GB on my laptop. There is/was another partition which statet "unallocated"? or something similar.

I will download the network drivers and hope to solve the internet issue. But what about the partition? If I am correct I have 250 GB hard disc available for my laptop.

ive typed all the commands that GREGROCKER put down and when it formats i feel like its going to 7% for a hour.

A format should takes seconds.

How exactly are you trying to format it ?

Are you using Diskpart and the Clean all command or are you just using the install dvd ?

If by chance you are booted from Partition "C" where Windows 7 is, a format will not happen on Partition "C". Windows 7 is protecting itself.

That is my understanding.

If you can still boot could you complete this tutorial by Golden?
Let us take a look and see what you have for drives and partitions.

I have been trying to do a clean install windows 10 for 3 days now. I can finally use my laptop.
