I know that the Windows Experience Index doesn't matter but I just upgraded to a HD7850 and want to see what I score. The error is WinSAT.exe - Bad Image something to do with wmvencod.dll. I did get the file off my windows dvd disc but I couldn't put it in the system32 folder. I have Windows 7 64bit

Welcome to Seven Forums SirErik. First I would try re-registering the dll

Start> In search box type cmd.exe> Right click on cmd.exe in results above and choose Run as administrator> In command prompt type

regsvr32 wmvdecod.dll

Enter

If no help, try running the System File Checker. See if it will correct this error.

If no help. I have attached the wmvdecod.dll from both the System32 folder, and the SysWOW64 folder. The System32 is named WMVDECOD32.zip and the SysWOW64 is named WMVDECOD64.zip

Make sure to backup the originals just in case you want to restore them.

If you can't replace the files, let us know what error you get when you try. A Guy
