Windows Keeps disconnecting me from internet

So I've had my computer for a while and have not really had many problems with my connection to the internet other than a very weak signal in my bedroom. One day my router broke and a replacement router was sent by Verizon. Ever since then my computer has not stayed connected to the internet for very long, and the strength if the signal didn't seem to make a difference. What would happen is my computer would stay connected for about half an hour and then I would lose connection. The computer would lose all ability to connect to any network at all, my neighbors network did not even show up when I scanned for other networks. I would either have to troubleshoot my network or I would have to put my computer into sleep mode and then turn it on again in order to be able to connect to the network again. The issue would repeat itself after a while, and I would temporarily fix it again. Recently the problem has been getting worse and worse, and my computer hasn't been able to stay connected for more than 5 minutes. Any help that anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.

I am having the same problem but with both LAN and wireless. I can't even search online how to fix it because I lose internet too quickly. If I troubleshoot it says that there is a problem connectitng to the primary DNS server. I reset it in the CMD using the terms : netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt but this requires me to restart and restarting every 5 minutes is really getting on my nerves. I am an online student and my work requires me to use the internet. Please help us fix this problem quickly.

On another note, I think the issues may be unrelated since they came at different times, but my computer always says I am not connected to the internet even when I am and can use my browser freely. I also cannot travel to Facebook. When I type in the website or click on any link there from any browser, it just refuses to go anywhere. No error message, it just doesn't move.
