Hello

Recently I have built a new pc a lot of the updates seemed to install in the first attempt. But out of the last 17 updates that I have left they will not install and i get the error codes.

Code 800B0100

Code 80092004

Code 80070570

Something to mention I had the KB3020369 AND KB3045645 amongst the updates im having issues with and those two installed with out any problems (I am no sure if this is relevant but something I did notice)

Remove the older CBSPersist files until the compressed folder is less than 8MB, then upload it - or upload the whole thing to a fileshare site (preferably either DropBox or OneDrive) and post a link.

I'm pretty sure I've seen this exact error in another thread recently!.... yep - in here...
http://www.sevenforums.com/windows-...date-windows-7-64-bit-error-80092004-a-2.html - unfortunately, we didn't manage to resolve it there.

This error does appear though to be related to corruption in the SoftwareDistribution folder - so we'll reset that...

Open an Elevated Command Prompt
Run the following commands

NET STOP WUAUSERV
REN C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution SDOLD
NET START WUAUSERV

reboot
then wait 10 minutes, and open Windows Updates, and run a Check for Updates.

Install only the oldest update found - and reboot once installed
then go back to Windows updates and install the others.

Just had a chance to attempt this but when I input the REN C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution SDOLD command.
it tells me that the syntax of the command is incorrect

That's odd, since it's worked for almost everyone else who's ever run it (and the others had some severe corruption problems)

Did you copy/paste it, or type it in? if the latter, make sure that there are spaces in the right places.

Hmmm
Please reboot, then open an Elevated Command Prompt.

Run the following command
Code:
 REG QUERY HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate /S >>"%userprofile%\desktop\WUprofile.log

.

this will create a file on your desktop - WUprofile.log - please zip it with the new windowsupdate.log file, and post the zip file.

That is a common problem at the moment - MS are supposed to be working on a fix for it.
I'd just Hide the update for the moment. It will reappear when MS released an updated version.
