Solved Windows Update KB2743555 will not install

Please see attached images. What could the problem be?

all other updates installed correctly...

I don't know if this will help. Doesn't cost anything.
Shut down the computer and restart and see if you can get the update. That was part of the big update for today and the rest installed to my thinking. Also I found this.

Another suggestion, make sure you have I.E. as you default browser.

thanks for the advice, Mr.Bear. Unfortunately it didn't help but I was able to download the files for my system directly from Microsoft and then install them. Now WindowsUpdate shows nothing.

the file I downloaded from Microsoft is called : Windows6.1-KB2743555-x64.msu, they offer a few others for this particular update 2743555. You can get to the download page by clicking "more info" about the update from within the WindowsUpdate window. then just do a little searching and you will see versions for x86 and x64 systems

Glad it worked for you.Microsoft Updates should of picked up your 64 bit system without you having to do that. Please take note of using I.E.9 as default browser. You don't have to use it for anything else but for what ever reason Updates do work better using it. I keep it with no goody add on's just for that reason. Microsoft loves Microsoft.
