Solved Windows Update

Windows Update, in automatic mode, shows that there are no updates available for my PC, but when I click on "Find Updates" it asks me to installs two updates that, actually, doesn´t exist in Microsoft Catalogue (KB4524752 and KB4567409). Of course, when I try to install them it fails.
I found too, that some updates, WHICH AREN´T INSTALLED, can´t be installed when I try to update using Microsoft Catalogue. These updates are, KB2533552 and KB4516655 which showed error "This update can´t be applied to this computer", and KB4598289 which showed error - "Update Windows Modules Installer on this computer". Now I really don´t know if there are other updates that weren´t installed on my PC, and if Windows Update has some kind of problem. I don´t have also Extended Security Updates.

I ran Sfc /Scannow and got no problems.

Did a little research and found that the 4524752 is to let you know that support for Win 7 is coming to an end. The 4567409 is for the initial implementation of Edge. You probably don't want the first and, if you have Edge installed, you wouldn't need the second.

This for 2533552 (2011)- "nstall this update to enable future updates to install successfully on all editions of Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. This update may be required before selected future updates can be installed. After you install this item, it cannot be removed.

If you have been keeping win 7 up to date after 2011, you probably don't need it.

The 4516655 is a servicing stack update from 2019.

If you are installing any of the latter two in .msi format, you should probably set Windows Update to "never check for updates" before running them.

A Patch software

I´m 73 y.o. and if my memory serves me right, I remember in a distant past that, there were some kind of softwares called "patchers" that help you to know which Microsoft updates you have installed and which are missing, helping you install them offline. Can you help me, explaining me, if these softwares still exist? That way I will be certain if my PC is safe at least for the time Microsoft gave it support.

Other question. Reading your reply I remember to check something and I notice that when I click - Windows Update - Change configuration - Important updates, I can´t be able to change anything. Do you know how can I correct this problem, alowing me to access again these commands?

Happy New Year! Well, I'm 79 and memory doesn't always serve me well. I don't know anything about the patchers. Click on the Start button and, in the search box, enter winver. What does it show for build and version number?

This should help you with the second problem- Redirecting

If you're not comfortable editing the registry, you can always create a system restore point or Export the registry before modifying it.

Thank you for your reply. As for the first question it´s showing - Version 6.1 Compilation 7601 Service Pack 1. As for the second question, I come to the exact page you point me, and solved the problem. My only goal, really, is to know if I, at least, have the security updates until the support was discontinued by Microsoft. I try to run Updates Offline, but a lot of registers failed. So, I think is better let it go, because I´ll never get ESU too.

Well, my build and version are the same as yours. Have you looked at Installed Updates and the dates for them?
