I am having trouble with Windows updates when i download and install the following : Security update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on XK,Server 2003,Vista,Windows7,Server 2008 x86.
When i go to shutdown it tells me that it will download and install before shutting down. This happens every time i shutdown.:mad::mad:

You can try the following;

.NET Framework 4

Follow these steps if you are running

Windows Vista or Windows 7
  • Close all applications.
  • Click Start, type Uninstall in the Search box, and then click Uninstall a program.
  • Double-click Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile.
  • Select Repair .NET Framework 4 Client Profile to its original state, and then click Next.
  • When the repair is complete, click Finish.
  • Click Restart Now to restart your computer.
  • When your computer is restarted, click Start, type Windows Update in the Search box, and then clickWindows Update to install the latest Windows updates
This may work, but I haven't actually tested it, so I cannot comment on the results.
