Would like a desktop weather gadget

I know Windows 7 doesn't support gadgets anymore, but is there someway I can get updated local temperatures and weather on my desktop?

Im from the other side of the pond,
I use our national broadcasters site as my homepage to get mine, it has all the "gadgets", that are no longer available try one of your bigboys it might give you a local option.
