Solved Would like to have some opinions

I use mine, for several reasons and they give you options. Plus any time you are putting several water cooling radiators in a computer, it is necessary for it to be large and bulky. Yes, you can get by with less 5.25" bays, but I have 4 in my case right now and could use another. It just depends on how you set your case up and what you want to do with it.

That is very true Steve, as you know I have 4 too, but until recently when I added the NZXT Hue case lighting (which uses a single 5.25" slot) I had none of the 4 in use.

Very true Paul, but as I said it gives you options. With your case the 360mm Rad sticks into the top bay which renders it almost useless. I managed to put a fan controller in that slot. Then with the dual bay reservoir I have uses 2 more. And with the Hue it uses the last one. That leaves no place for a DVD/Blue Ray for those of us who really need one, and I do. I know you don't but I convert a lot of DVDs and it would help greatly. I have to use an external USB one now which is painfully slow. So, for me, yes, I could easily use 5 slots. Others don't need near that many. If I had extra bays I would buy a 4 in 3 Bay hotswap hard drive kit and get rid of the internal bays for the extra room. Others don't need or want that. But, that's what I meant when I said it leaves you with options. Or as Lady Fitzgerald said, it allows her to use the card reader and other devices which are important to other people. As I always say about Microsoft, this is not a one size fits all world. :roflmao: Sorry, had to get that in.

Yeah it would be a boring place right? :p

Jack, That all looks pretty good to me. Looks like a very good build. Just a couple of things to mention
I'm not familiar with that motherboard, but some have an 8 pin and a 4 pin ATX connection. If it does, I would check and make sure that PSU will work. Mine takes 2. I got caught by Corsair. They list the cables and pcie connections, and all necessary connections are listed. If you ever plan to SLI, what they don't tell you is not all the cables listed can be connected at the same time. The only way you will know is contact Corsair.

I know you mentioned an Intel SSD. I would go with the Samsung. They are for the most part top dog right now.

The kit you are getting for water cooling is a good kit and comes with everything you need. But, you will have a lot easier time and make it look better if you will get extra compression fittings and a couple of 45 degree free center connections. It makes connecting to the radiator much easier, the hose shorter and you won't have to worry about kinks trying to make the bends. Stay away from 90 degree if at all possible. 2 45's are much better. I would also think about maybe some quick releases or drain pugs. Otherwise it will be an extreme pain if/when you have to drain the system. Also, the XSPC tubing is not the greatest.. There are many that are better. I'm using PrimoFlex Advanced LRT, but there are several choices that you will find that are much better than the XSPC. It is not very expensive but very much worth the change. Always make a plan of how you are going to be able to drain the system before you install it.

With a bay reservoir, leave the 5.25" bay above it empty. That is the only way to get to the fill port without taking it out. Or, you'll be like me. I didn't have that option so had to make my tubing runs longer and not screw in the reservoir so I could slide it out. Also, something like this will come in handy. Liquid Filling Bottle - 500mL - FrozenCPU.com. The syringe you picked out will work too, but the bottle will do it faster.

Just a few suggestions that I learned the hard way. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks essenbe I'm going to do some more looking.

You would think Corsair would have all the necessary cables but I will check. SLI is a maybe.
Water cooling the GPU is a maybe. Have to see how cool/hot the Gpu runs under load. From what I have see with reviews the GPU tops out about 60 deg C.
The bay mounted reservoir I was going to mount some place else.
I haven't been able to find a kit with any other type of reservoir with duel D5 pumps. (Open for suggestions).
Maybe I should see If I can buy all the pieces and parts separately and have a better choice. That should take me about a day or so.
Again thank you for the help.

Jack, as far as Corsair, if you look at the cables that come with it , it lists 2 ATX cables and 4 pcie cables. What they don't say is that both ATX cables and 4 pcie cables cannot be connected at the same time. I got caught like that and argued with Corsair for over a week to get it straight. I told them it was false advertising.

For the dual D5 pumps. The D5 is a strong pump and 2 is not necessary. It is good for redundancy, in case one goes out on you. But, one will cool your CPU, and GPU without any problem. But I have seen some reservoirs for dual pumps. I don't recall seeing them in a kit though. as for mounting the reservoir somewhere else, I've considered the same thing, but with 2 radiators in my system, I just can't find any where I could mount it. But, with just 1 radiator in the top, you should be able to do it. I've seen it done several times by others.

I watched the video for the case and just sat here in amazement while watching them show various floor mounted radiator configurations, all the time wondering, "Where the big fat hairy heck does one put the PSU?". Nice looking case, otherwise.

I would lose the temp. sensor as it's just more to go wrong and leak as you can monitor temps without it. Also lose the fill bottle and just use a turkey baster. Also you should consider EK dual rotary fittings and use rigid tubing and the plasticizers in soft tubing is known to breakdown in water loops.

Just some other idea's to keep in mind either now of for future expansions to the loop.....can't wait to see the rig when it's all done !

Doing this you lose the coils for a red stabilized coolant like mayhem.

jack, Here are some 45's. I use 2 on the block and 2 on the rad. You just neeed a G 1/4 compression fitting for each one. There are a lot of ways to do a drain. You can use the T and place it where you can hide the hose, use another G1/4 compression fitting to one port and a hose connected to it. run the hose where it can't be seen and put the female end of the disconnect on the end. It will act as a stop fitting. Save an extra length of hose with the male end and save it somewhere. When you need to drain it connect the male end to the female end And the other end with the male fitting in a bucket. It would work just like a quick connect on an air compressor. Water will only flow when both male and female are fit together. I know I didn't explain that right, but maybe you get the idea. here are the 45's

Just remember, you will need a Compression fitting for every thing you buy. The darn fittings will bleed you dry. And there are other ways to do a drain too. Once you get them and look at how you are going to put things together it will become clear of what you need to make it work. Just have a plan of exactly what you want to do and how you want the hoses to run. A lot of people make a rough drawing of the case and draw it out. It helps to see how it will work and what other options you may have that you hadn't thought of, and what fittings you may need. It sounds complicated and will be your first time. After that it is not so bad. It's really fairly simple, just something different. An old Sailor could figure it out pretty quick.
