Yes I want to start now.
My Dealer dropped by the house and I gave him some front money to get him started. Today or tomorrow I should know the balance. He can get a lot of the stuff from his normal suppliers so that should speed things up.
While waiting I have been doing a lot of reading on the motherboard over clocking with different CPU's. Lots on water cooling reviews still. I have been to a lot of Overclocking sites but can't find munch on the i7-4820. What I did find looks like the 4820 is a good clocker.

I do have a Nikon D3000. I need to learn how to get the pictures from the camera to the computer.
The manual print is to small for me. I guess I will have to find the manual on line and read it.

I really don't want to add a bunch of programs to my one and only working computer. But I don't know if I have to.
If their is a simple way I will surly do the picture thing.

Gary I won't be caring this computer around.
I have move things around in my computer room so the table that I build the computer on will be the table it sits on when done.
I can't walk a block with out pain just caring a hat and a pack of smokes. My hips and lower spine just aren't what they use to be.

Please find the resolution setting on your Nikon and reduce the file size as this will make sharing these photo's easier and faster to upload. Steady hands or a tri-pod are helpful, I use a mono-pod and will never go shooting with out it.

I believe the motherboard comes with a UEFI bios but I don't know if I have a choice between UEFI and Legacy. If I have UEFI on the motherboard I believe I need to install Windows 7 using the UEFI.
Yes I have read a lot about the subject but still a little confused.
If I do have a choice I don't know which is better for over clocking.
Watching videos from Asus they use UEFI for over clocking and get good and sometimes great results.

It will have UEFI but you don't need to install in UEFI mode, that's mostly for Win 8....I think. The BIOS will still have the slick look of the UEFI interface though. There should be no advantage to OC either.

Jack, to confirm what Gary said, you will have the UEFI bios whichever way you decide to install. I use legacy install, UEFI is pretty much uncharted waters with most of us. Even those of us who have it. But, it seems that it is more of a file structure for the installation and the way windows boots than anything else. The options in bios will be the same either way you install. I agree with Gary that a UEFI installation has nothing to do with overclocking. What you are seeing is the GUI of BIOS, which is there legacy or UEFI. If it would help you, I am installed in Legacy mode and I will post some pictures of my bios if you would like me to.

If I understand correctly. What ever bios comes with the board I will have a choice UEFI or Legacy. My understanding that UEFI is some sort of security for the bios.
I think I will stick with Legacy in bios.
When installing Windows 7 will I then see a option to choose between the two also. I was watching this.

It's a mystery to me Jack, they allegedly have the option for using the UEFI GUI or legacy, but I can't find the "switch" so far.

Ay any rate I have been doing testing on a few boards of late all with UEFI BIOSes and I simply started the installer and went ahead as normal with no glitches or being asked which to use. BTW, My BIOS is nearly identical to the one in the ASUS video, some have more or different options depending mostly on your hardware, i.e. the CPU and RAM.

Jack, I don't know much at all about Sandy/Ivy Bridge -E. But I built several Sandy/Ivy boards. I never had to make a selection of which to use. I format the disk in diskpart using the install disk, get to where to install and select that drive (should be only one connected at that point) then the install goes as it always has. Ivy-E has some different overclocking options/requirements than the regular Ivy, such as the boot strap he mentioned. I don't have that. But the install went as always.
