At the local drug store or grocery story the have something for babies when teething called Numbzit or see if the carry an oral xylocaine paste. This will numb the area till you get to the dentist.
Trust me on this one as is worked on Hoppy's rhoids when he was straining to get to his Gold Badge....

Have you tried holding your hand, the nearest one on the side of the pain, up in the air, making sure that it is above the pain, and keep wiggling the fingers for a few minutes.

This may be counter productive if standing at the bus stop

Sorry to hear about your toothache Kathryn, I think the name over here for what Dennis was talking about is bonjela, you can get it for adults as I have some here now.

The adult variety contains Choline salicylate and Cetalkonium chloride, so that you can't give it to under 16 year olds.

The other bonjela is specially for babies when they are teething so I don't know what that has that's different.

I recall it has paregoric in it, that helps the little ones not hurt so bad when teething.

Today I' recovering from being stupid.
We're getting ready to move so I'm slowly starting to get rid of some things and clean and pack up some items, well I have a Nascar Ball cap collection that circles my room at the very top of the wall I had screwed in baseboard with long finish nails to hold the carps on approximately 75 hats. I was getting tired and took a chance and reach over with one foot on the step stand and the other on the desktop to remove the last screw. (it's always the last one) and when it came out down I went, thing is I fell on top of 20 boxes or so of old computer parts ect.

So here I am laying 1 foot her one their almost upside down can't move yelling help but my Mom downstairs is watching one of her favorite scifi movies blaring and can't hear me. I must have been like that for about an hour before she heard me and tried to get my crippled a** out of the piece I got myself into.So needless to say I pretty sore right now and have suspended moving for a couple of days.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

In your condition you shouldn't be doing any moving or lifting. Let the people who are moving you do that.

Hi .. Thanks for your comment.. it's still snowing here.. so I'm not going in to work today..
I called in just before 7 am..to report I'll be staying in, thought I would sit it out here at home..
I don't relish the idea of getting my body hurt.. or getting my car smashed..this will surely be gone in a day or so.. then we get bitterly cold.. so it better melt and run off quickly.
