Latest Internet Explorer 9 Release

Internet Explorer 9 RC will introduce “show tabs below address bar” option

Now that's a good option. It can be a bit crowded with all on one bar.

With this change, IE 9 is fine for me. I'm still not too big of a fan of the "one" box for searching but Chrome has got me somewhat used to it. Let's see how IE 9 RC does performance wise because on some older machines I've tried it on, it's kind of clunky in its Beta stage.

I installed the Win7x64 SP1 and I think this IE9 is more stable, haven't had the BSD since. Still have a nagging problem where many times a link in a outlook 07 email won't open IE9, very frustrating.

The other thing I notice is scrolling thru webpages is choppy like being back on WinXp, just doesn't have the fluidity that the Win7 developers wrote articles about (forget the technical terms.)

I think I finally figured out the issue with the IE9x86, I believe superfetch must be on, with an SSD most turn it off. But it seems turning it back on has eliminated all the issues, hopefully this will be fixed in the RTM.

I'm pleased about the “Show tabs below address bar” option, and I can live with the "one box" set up for searching, but I am driven crazy by this recent obsession with aesthetics being more important than function! IE is not a piece of art, it's a vehicle to perform certain functions --- and I want the functions that I use often (and that are important to me) to be right on the screen. I don't want to have to go digging for them every time I need to use them. And if that's not how MS chooses to set up its "default" then fine --- but at least give users the OPTION to place these settings right on the screen if they choose to!

Microsoft may have finalized the final Release Candidate (RC) build for Internet Explorer 9.

read more here: Tech Alphabet » IE9 RC Finalizing and getting ready to Release

So what was the last version then because mine says RC anyway??
Or is this a second

Danny

This is the second with a NEW build: 9.0.8073.6010

but the question is will they release this version at microsoft ie9 original website?
because they left us with the beta1 that was released september 15 the 2010,

Out of curiosity, ie9, what is it supposed to be, currently? Mine shows:

ScreenShot00464.jpg

But, then, I rarely use it. I ask because I prefer to be up to date with the latest betas, development builds and such.
