I've been having BSOD errors for a long time now. The most recent ones seem consistent now following fixing a few driver errors. I now seem to be getting regular kernel event 41 errors. I've looked into the memory dump of the last crash I had that which reported
BugCheck 7F, {8, 80050031, 6f8, fffff80002e7f1cb}

Probably caused by : ntkrnlmp.exe ( nt!KiDoubleFaultAbort+b2 )

BUGCHECK_STR: 0x7f_8

DEFAULT_BUCKET_ID: VISTA_DRIVER_FAULT

PROCESS_NAME: System

CURRENT_IRQL: 2

LAST_CONTROL_TRANSFER: from fffff80002e7f1e9 to fffff80002e7fc40

I've googled a lot of these problems and checked common things. I've checked to see if my PC is overclocked which I'm not sure it has the BIOS capable of doing so. I've done memory checks and reported no errors. I'm doing a hard disk check now but so far so good. One odd thing is running a full scan with super anti spyware crashes the PC consistently part way through the scan. Any help appreciated.

And here's another from today after running a game for 10 minutes.
There is another issue that happens where a BSOD is not shown but the computer just instantly restarts without shutting down. This happened 10 minutes earlier after playing the same game for 5-10 minutes. I assume the issues are related but thought it worth mentioning.

As I said last week, I ran this for 15 hours and no errors were found. I assume the software doesn't leave a log file that I can send you with the results of this?

No problem :) I'll get back to you in 24 hours. I've run this program before with different settings and replaced/removed any broken drivers so not expecting anything but will try with these settings.

The idea with Driver Verifier is that it'll detect drivers as broken (if any), and report it with a dump. You're the one that should upload all the dumps while having the verifier enabled. Hopefully we'll find something.

Fred.

OK latest on this is that enabling that caused my PC not to boot unless I ran safe mode. A dodgy driver called mijxfilt.sys. This was a joypad emulator driver that was no longer needed and I've removed now. No minidumps were generated by that blue screen.
Since then I have had no BSOD's but my PC is still resetting itself at random points. Nothing in the event viewer about the reboots other than "The previous system shutdown at 13:22:53 on ‎23/‎11/‎2011 was unexpected."

Hmm, disable the Verifier and upload a regular dump when those happens.

Thank you!

OK next time I get one I'll upload it. What about the system resetting itself without blue screening? Is there any way to debug that?
