Network disconnects when computer sleeps & wont reconnect

Thanks, I couldn't locate the device by that number on Netgear - VersaLink might help.

Don't let me get in the way Chev65 was guiding you.

I'm getting close to finding the manual: Installing your AT&T High Speed Internet service - AT&T Support

AT&T always make work hard to find inoformation.

edit: nope that's as close as I can get. You might try going as the cutomer and be able to find more than I can. But don't walk away just yet, Chev65 might come back with something he found. I only stopped by to see if I could help find the manual.

I don't want to send you off in another direction while Chev65 is doing research in the background.

Wish I found more, a manual or even a better web page. Sorry I couldn't help find it.

I'll step back for now.

Good luck, you're in good hands with Chev65

Bill

This looks like one of those ISP supplied modem's which I don't know much about, there are too many of these el cheapo units for me to keep track of.

In this case since it's an ISP supplied modem you should call at&t and ask why there are two wireless signal coming from your modem.

You can see right there in the inSSIDer that the two signals are right on top of each other with the blue signal strength line dropping low, that line is supposed to be straight across, when the line drops like that it means the signal dropping out, no doubt about this in my opinion.

If they can't provide a fix then have the modem replaced with something else as it is the source of the original problem.

Lets wait and see what at&t comes up with. It may just be a malfunction on the modem or they may just update to a different model, or maybe they have seen this problem before and know how to turn off the other wireless signal, either way I'd like to see what they come up with.

If this was a normal modem + standard router we wouldn't be seeing any of these problems but these ISP supplies modem/router deal's aren't so great sometimes.

Ideally you would just install a standard modem then get your own wireless N type router, this would be a big improvement in your situation.

Alright, I'll give them a call. This router wasn't cheap as far as price, but the quality doesn't seem that great based off of what you are saying. In any case, I'll call them and let you know what happens. By the way, it says two channels are overlapping now.

There may just be a simple setting to turn off what looks to be a guest wireless account, or they may deny it and pretend the problem doesn't exist. Hopefully they have seen this before and know how to turn it off.
