BSOD while playing DOMO and even simple browser games (Error 124)

I wasn't able to use my laptop extensively Sunday because it's finals week. Boo.

But I'm having my younger sister on a parental controlled account play for about six hours today only on wifi to see what happens. And then I'm trying the wifi at school tomorrow afternoon for about two hours.

Should I hand my computer back to the shop on Tuesday and tell them what happened? (That the wifi stopped working before it froze completely and when restarting manually, no wifi could be found.)

So, my laptop froze today right when I turned it on.

I'm so confused at this point. I'll tell the computer shop about the wifi issues since it disappeared again after freezing but idk what's wrong at this point. This thing is making my head spin.

Edit: I just got another blue screen and it says physical memory dump complete. I will try to put it here. I restarted it manually and it froze and then the blue screen.

I gave you a starting place to work from in My post #13.

Once you use IOBit you will normally have to do a Clean Install and go from there.

By Brink:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-windows-7-a.html

Would this mean I would lose everything? Like Microsoft Word and it being Windows 7 Professional? Someone I know did a clean install and their computer is slow and looks weird compared to when they first bought it.

Edit: here is minidump file.

I do not have a CD to do the clean install of Windows 7 and my laptop did not originally come with Windows 7, it came with Windows 8 but the person who gave it to my friend installed Windows 7 and she let me keep it. So I'm not sure how many people did what to the laptop before I received it but it was brand new out the box. I think it was just the software changes?

The computer technicians at the shop I went to have been trying to recreate the problem I had with no luck. They have left it running, played videos and games and nothing has happened. I'm starting to wonder if it's my router? But even if it was, why does my phone and my mother's netbook work fine?

I want to leave reinstalling Windows 7 as my last resort because I don't have the CD or license to use to reinstall it...

Edit: But is anyone able to tell me what is on the dmp file? I can't open it so I'm guessing I need a special software for it.

Well I've done just about everything I can think of instead of reinstalling windows. I'll try that when I save enough for a windows 7 cd. It froze again today and I'm honestly this close to just chucking it into a trash can and giving up on technology haha.

1. Uninstall Pando Media Booster!!!!!! *
2. Reboot.

If the 124 Bug Check BSOD continues, follow this Clean Start Tutorial but leave MSE. If the clean start fixes the BSOD problem, refer back to the tutorial and add back everything except Akamai NetSession. If the BSOD problem remains fixed, uninstall Akamai NetSession and return your startup apps to normal.

*
Pando shut down its servers and ceased business on August 31, 2013.
As of February 24, 2014 the Pando Media Booster has been hijacked and unsuspecting persons who install a prompted update have their internet browsers hijacked and a virus called the "Sweet Page" browser virus is installed on their machine.

Wow...I'll do that once I get home. Thank you very much. Did the dmp files point to that?

I'm not even sure how Pando or Akami got on my computer. I never updated either of them but it might have been from MapleStory, a game I played for a few weeks before uninstalling it in late 2013.

The dump showed a driver from Akamai but the problem MAY have been caused by Pando, a known system crasher. But so is Akamai. iTunes is another that may cause problems. Perhaps not in itself but what it allows on your system. Apple uses iTunes to sell your system resources (CPU, Disk, Network) to third party vendors. Yes, they are making money off of your system. This occurs when the system is idle and especially if left on over night. That may be where you got Pando and Akamai. (And no telling what else.)

Once you have a stable system, there's a few AV scanners and system/component checkers I'd like you to run. For now, let's concentrate on a stable OS.

I see.

I've removed Pando and will try playing for some hours today and during the weekend. I'll come back on Monday and tell you if it froze yet. But that's what happened to me before than a week later, it froze again. We'll have to wait and see.

If uninstalling Pando works after all, do I have to keep Akami Netsession?

The dump was actually pointing to Akamai; However, Pando is such a risk to stability and memory corruption (faulty programming) I just picked that one first. How is it going so far?

Have you added back any of the Start Ups through msconfig?

Run SFC /scannow just to make sure system files aren't corrupt.

Download and run Emsisoft Emergency Kit. It's a free standalone set of programs so there's no install. It can even be run from a USB drive. EEK AV scanner will update signatures before it does the scan but it's pretty quick.

Leave this thread unsolved until you're comfortable. I'll stay subscribed. If you get any new BSODs, rerun and upload the dump and file capture so we have a fresh status of the system.

I've only removed Pando. I didn't do the other step yet with removing Akami Netsession. Should I do it now?

And thank you so much. I'm hoping it'll not freeze for at least a month before I'm positive it's gone

Hold for a moment. It may have been installed by another program you installed. Open Programs and Features from the Control Panel. Click on the Installed On column header to sort them. Find Akamai and check any software installed on the same date. See if it was installed on the same date as iTunes.
