Solved Windows Files Corrupt

Where do you find these manifest files

NoelDP Where do you find the missing manifest files? Been searching and till don't have a clue where to find them, if they're not on your computer or windows 7 disk. I know you indicated that you have them stored but where did you obtain them initially?

I've uploaded a file - mx0aa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive

Please download and save it.
Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…

Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder mx0aa in the same place.
Open this folder- there should be two folders inside it (Manifests, and Packages)

Copy the content of the manifests folder (.manifest files) into this folder:

C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

Done what you said and attached the logs to this message. In the CheckSUR.log it says all errors have been fixed but when i run autoruns I still have one missing file called rdvgkmd.sys which is found in System32\drivers\ folder.

That's because I haven't touched the problems from the SFC scan yet.

Please run another SFC /SCANNOW and post the COMPLETE CBS.log file (zipped) - sometimes the background data is more important than the headlines!

The first CBS.log file was over 1GB so I could not open it even with notepad++ thats why it was like. I have uploaded the complete CBS.log file HERE as it exceeded the attach size limit. I also have attached a summarized CBS.log file to this message if you cannot open the other file like me.

The problem appears to be mostly caused by the number of language packs you have installed - do you really have 32 MUI packs installed?

You should consider cutting the number down to no more than 10 - this will dramatically reduce the size of the registry, and may markedly speed up your machine.

It's to late to work on this number of problem files tonight - I'll get to it tomorrow, sometime.

OK - until I can get to a decent download point to download the necessary language packs, here's what I have...

I've uploaded a file - mx0ab.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
Please download and save it.

Right-click on the saved file and select Extract all...
Change the target to C:\ and click on Extract
Close all windows (it would be a good idea to print these instructions!)

Now reboot to the Repair Environment - as soon as the machine restarts, start tapping F8 - this should bring up the Advanced Boot Menu, at the top of which should be the option 'Repair my Computer'
Pick that
You'll have to log in with your username and password.

Pick the option to use a Command Prompt
At the prompt type
DIR C:\mx0ab
hit the enter key - if you get a 'Not Found' error try
DIR D:\mx0ab
or
DIR E:\mx0ab

The drive letter in use when you find the folder will need to be substituted (for<drive>) into the following command...

XCOPY <drive>:\mx0ab <drive>:\windows\winsxs /y /i /s /v /h

(e.g. XCOPY P:\wfire P:\windows\winsxs /y /i /s /v /h )

run the command (it should take almost no time) and when the prompt returns, type
EXIT
and hit the Enter key to exit Command Prompt - reboot to Normal Mode Windows.

Now run SFC /SCANNOW in an Elevated Command Prompt
then reboot and upload the new CBS.log file to your reply

I recommend that you uninstall all the language packs except those that you a re likely to use.

Updates and system checks - and almost certainly boot time - will get faster!

I did what you said and have attached the CBS.log file to this message.
Edit: I just uninstalled the unused language packs, thanks for the tip.

Here's the bit I was dying to see....
POQ 1117 ends.

In a normal Windows x64 install with one language installed, that number may get as high as 160 - not anywhere like 1117!
Your COMPONENTS registry hive probably amounts to about 200MB, instead of the normal 40-50MB.

Here's the remaining errors from SFC...

Once you've uninstalled the languages you don't need, please run another SFC /SCANNOW, and we'll see what's left to fix then.
Done what you said, there is a download link for the log HERE.

I've uploaded a file - mx0ac.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
Please download and save it.

Right-click on the saved file and select Extract all...
Change the target to C:\ and click on Extract
Close all windows (it would be a good idea to print these instructions!)

Now reboot to the Repair Environment - as soon as the machine restarts, start tapping F8 - this should bring up the Advanced Boot Menu, at the top of which should be the option 'Repair my Computer'
Pick that
You'll have to log in with your username and password.

Pick the option to use a Command Prompt
At the prompt type
DIR C:\mx0ac
hit the enter key - if you get a 'Not Found' error try
DIR D:\mx0ac
or
DIR E:\mx0ac

The drive letter in use when you find the folder will need to be substituted (for<drive>) into the following command...

XCOPY <drive>:\mx0ac <drive>:\windows\winsxs /y /i /s /v /h

The question must be - is the source of that query actually looking for the file in the correct place?
Do you know what process is looking for it? - and whether its looking for the file itself, or for the driver process?
Please post the Event Logs...

Open Event Viewer
click on the Windows logs entry in the left pane to expand it.
Now click on the Application entry - wait while it loads.
Click on 'File' in the menu bar and select Save...
Save the file as Appevt.evtx
Repeat for the System log
then zip both, and upload them.

You have a LOT of errors originating from your Razor Synapse installation - I would recommend uninstalling it.

Also - your Performance counters appear to be corrupt -
To rebuild the list of counters in the registry:
1.Click Start, expand All Programs, and expand Accessories.
2.Right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.
3.At the command prompt, type lodctr /r, and then press ENTER.

Something is regularly causing massive disk problems - possibly the result of multiple crashes that haven't been addressed, or perhaps from malware.

Let's see how much difference the above makes before attempting to delve deeper - but as far as I can see there's no mention of a problem there with the file that autoruns is complaining about.
