When I upgraded to Win10, Microsoft put their own Skype (apparently they bought the company) software included in the upgrade.

I finally got sick of Win10 and did a complete nuke of my HD and re-installed Win7. Of course, now I don't have Skype and the only version I can find is the privacy invasion from MS. Is there a way to log in to my old account and see all of my contacts, etc.?

Thank you.

If I don't mistake, one can log on to Skype via hotmail/outlook:
How do I use Skype from my Outlook.com account? | Skype Support

But I would rather install a standalone version of skype (offline installer) and get to the account.
(for example, if you wish to get an older version, you could try installers from: Download Skype 7.36.0.101 - FileHippo.com . Or you could get one directly from their homepage, but it will automatically determine the version for you.)

Of course, now I don't have Skype and the only version I can find is the privacy invasion from MS
I haven't got a good understanding of this part though.

Hope it helps.
