I am running on Windows 7 home premium. After looking for answers for this, I know it has something to do with the USB port, and the only thing I connect to my USB port is a wireless mouse.

After starting up my laptop I find that when opening Chrome, I can not exit, nor can I go to any website or use Chrome at all, I than decide to restart my laptop, upon starting, a blue screen appears for about 5 seconds, than startup repair starts, it searches for problems but can not find and problems, which has been running for about 5-6 hours. I tried finding help online, and none of the options are working for me. These are:
  • Go to Safe Mode and do a system reboot or something like that, but when I start Safe mode, or Safe mode with command prompt it goes to startup repair again
  • Go back to last time Windows runned correctly, it goes back to start up repair
  • I guessed that maybe my laptop was overheating, so I put it in a elevated position, by putting a dvd case under it, and turned it off for about an hour, than started it up, and it returns to startup repair.
  • Typing bcdedit /set {default} recoveryenabled No in command prompt, but unfortunately I have no idea how to get to command prompt with no access to my desktop.
  • Re-installing windows 7, my laptop came with windows 7 and I have no install disk, I don't even have a disk drive to run disks
If you have any solutions, please know I can't purchase any items, and I am not an expert with computers, please simplify. All I really want to know is how to start command prompt. Thanks

xenocide,
Welcome to SevenForums.

first, I'll address determining if your running hot.

CoreTemp http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/
Core Temp monitors CPU temperatures

SpeedFan SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer
monitors voltages, fan speeds and temperatures, shows hard disk temperatures, shows cpu temperatures, supports SCSI, can change fan speeds

SPECCY- System Information Tool
http://www.piriform.com/speccy

Operating System, CPU and Temp, Ram, Motherboard, Graphics, Hard Drives, Optical Drives, Audio, Peripherals, Network info.
Simply put—this is the best and it’s free!

For now I'm going to recommend SPECCY because with Speccy you will also be able to fill out the "System Specs" area. Just use copy and paste from Speccy to the spec part of SevenForums.

At the top part of the SevenForums webpage, their is a choice called "User CP" which stands for User's Control Panel.

Click on User CP
On the left-hand side, under Your Profile click on Edit System Spec
fill in, via copy and paste as much as you can
Click on Save Changes

OK now we have the spec info updated and you can report back the temps you see.

I'm submitting this reply and in the next epistle I'll address other problems.

This is easy enough to test. Simply don't use the usb wireless mouse. Use the touchpad on the laptop.

Let us know the results.

I have tried starting with the mouse connected, and with it disconnected, I also found out how to find my system information by going to the bois, which I will be adding soon
