Anyone have Adobe reader 9.1 working within any of their browsers?

I had no PDF software installed so I elected to use Adobe (as I always did in the past). From within Firefox I get to Adobe's site, it recognizes what I am running and brings me to the 9.1 Download for Windows 7. Near the end of the install there was an error message. Adobe reader installed fine on my computer but the addon for viewing while browsing has an issue. I googled and found others with Win7 have experienced the same but only with Adobe 9.1, earlier versions apparently worked.

When trying to view a PDF, a get a blank error message:

Honestly, give FoxIT reader a chance instead of using Acrobat reader. It's a far smaller download, smaller install and it opens instantly...which is a huge improvement over Adobe Acrobat reader.

Ya I'm already on it. I figured screw it, get rid of Adobe and try something else. Working without a hitch right now. I did find more threads on the same topic though on other Win7 Forums, seems to be a growing issue. Never had Foxit running before but looks like a nice interface and seems lighter/faster. Any major differences or lacks compared to Adobe's?

I've been using FoxIt for about 2 years now. Never looked at Adobe again after switching.

With regards to features, I only need 1. When I click on a PDF, it opens.

Out of curiosity, does anyone else know what's going on with this? This was my only real issue throughout the beta and RC and even in the RTM I'm having it. It doesn't happen every time and a refresh almost always fixes it. The strange thing is it only happens on my laptop and I never had it happen on my desktop. Any ideas? In the meantime, I'm going to try out this FoxIt thing but this is just really interesting to me.
