Alienware Windows 7 Very Creepy Problem

I got a computer about a year ago (used) and I saw a creepy picture when I booted it up. And it did this every time. So I got my Windows 7 dvd/cd and reinstalled Windows(hoping it would delete that very creepy picture). And guess what it didnt so I came to this forum to find help on how to remove this picture at the boot. So every time I turned on the computer it( in about 2 seconds) showed this unearthy picture. How do I remove it?

Is it the very first thing you see?

Sounds like Alienware's logo showing during BIOS POST and therefore nothing to do with Windows - i.e., not changeable.

Depending how strict/loose Alienware is, you might be able to change it so it shows the boot details instead of the splash. My particular mobo has the option of the MSI splash during start up, or details. So you could look around in the BIOS for that option perhaps.

It sounds like someone might have flashed it with a modified BIOS. There is a utility that will let me replace the BIOS boot logo with a picture of my choice. If thats the case then flashing with the latest official unmodified BIOS will get rid of it. As mentioned an easier option would be to just change the BIOS setting so its not displayed, if available.

"Creepy" is subjective. Yes there should be a BIOS option to show full Boot logo or disable it. Enter BIOS by hitting, F1, F10, Delete or what ever key the POST screen shows at the, usually, bottom.
