Hey all.

The Action Center on my setup keeps reminding me of this:

Anyone else received this?

The funny thing is, I have more than enough space. I have 120 gigs free, with an 81 gig backup.........

What, no one has an answer OR a response?

Well, the error persists on my part. It fails when I try to back up.

Same issue.

(EDIT: I'm also using x64)

I'm currently attempting to figure out a method of generating a more verbose error from Windows 7, and debugging the share which the backups are going to. I'll post progress if made.

Here's a couple of screen shots of the failure:

I discovered the problem-- My computer was unable to generate a system recovery image to backup. The failure had nothing to do with free disk space. I was (and am able to) backup just fine by deselecting that option and only backing up the files and libraries I choose.

... How does one send feedback to MicroSoft about this?

Thanks.

I just had the same error. I was trying to backup 186 gb to a 500gb drive and it says I don't have enough room left. Also this is how you send feedback to Microsoft:
Providing Feedback to Microsoft

and this is how you would send feedback to Microsoft it this you were beta testing it:
https://connect.microsoft.com/

Also if Microsoft still had Customer service longer then a month on non business OS's maybe they would catch these things before they made everybody think Microsoft is trash.

Which reminds me of a time I sent Microsoft a bug report and they asked me what technical service plan I was on and how I was going to pay for this service they were giving me. I told them that I was giving them a service and when they persisted I told them where to shove it.

same problem

I am trying to back up 75GB on to a drive with 282.3 GB free and it keeps telling me I don't have enough free space! Is there a fix for this?

I don't know enough of what to choose on a system file backup to do it myself that is why I let Windows 7-64 bit make the choice of what is needed. I can easily choose My Documents but what about system files? So I don't really feel safe in knowing I will choose the right system files manually.

How do we get around this error code when there is plenty of free space?
