There arent any DMP files enclosed.

We really need the actual DMP file.

If you wish to have others assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder. The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Start your own thread in the "Crashes and Debugging" section of the forum and attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
* Briefly describe the problem history and circumstances in the same post. Somebody will attend to your query as soon as possible.

Could you please follow these directions?

http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/96879-blue-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html

I would suggest removing Avast, and replacing it with MSE.

Avast removal tool: http://files.avast.com/files/eng/aswclear5.exe

MSE: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials

Update your Intel storage drivers, on the computer manufacturer's site.

I'll take a look at the new report you upload, and then give you more instructions.

Blue Screen Continues

Hello,
I made some changes after my last post, however, it blue screened this morning at boot. I am sending my minidump files.

The dmp(s) point to ntkrpamp.exe or ntoskrnl.exe as the probable cause. We know this is not the case, as these are core OS files, and will definitely not cause a BSOD. They are just the default files the debuggers blame when they can't see a better cause.

Enable driver verifier, following these directions..

- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out. If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation (an estimate on my part).

Code:

*                                                                             *

Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information.

Probably caused by : ntkrpamp.exe ( nt!KiTrap0E+2cf )

Well no new dumps were generated, but looking through your event viewer I see Avast caused one. Avast has been known to cause BSODs before, so that's what I suspect the issue is.

Remove Avast with this tool: http://files.avast.com/files/eng/aswclear5.exe

Install MSE instead. It is also free. http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentialsIf the crashes persist, enable driver verifier: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/101379-driver-verifier-enable-disable.html

Be sure to follow our BSOD Posting Instructions sticky again, and run as Administrator.

Crashing and Bluescreens

I had posted earlier that my system was crashing quite freqently and did many mini dumps including flashing the BIOS and updating software. I think that users should use memtest+ if they have more than one memory stick installed. I solved my problem, because it is over 7 days without a crash.
Let me explain, run memtest with 7 passes, found errors so i removed all but one and began the task of running stick after stick,
some sticks gave errors in some slots until I finally became error free with this arrangement.
Slot 0-512
slot 1-512
slot 2 -1024
slot 3- 1024
this provided the solution.

Thanks for the report.

When running in dual-channel mode, the motherboard needs matching sticks in corresponding slots.

Glad you got it figured out.

Run Memtest86 immediately upon booting up for the first time in the morning, and run it for 8 passes or so. Also, run each of the three Prime95 tests for about an hour each.
