Bluray playback

I currently have an oem copy of powerdvd 7 installed and it works fine, but I was wondering if Powerdvd 11 had any real benefits worth upgrading to as far as playback quality? I don't have a surround sound setup and I don't intend to anytime soon, I'm more concerned with the quality of the video during playback. Are the codecs any better? Does Powerdvd 11 do a better job than version 7?

Im not exactly sure of all the differences, never liked PowerDVD myself so haven't used it much.

But they do offer a trial. I think its 30days to see if what you think of it.

But from what I recall, 11 will support additional formats such MKV, and has a few extra filters and Audio processing abilities.
Like Virtual Speaker Surround for 5.1 through stereo setups (I cant remember if that was part of 7 or not)

To be honest I haven't noticed an improvement in video quality. It is more stable and the integration into WMC is much better. I upgraded because I was having issues with watching some BD titles which all went away with version 11 and also I wanted 3d support.

If everything is working fine for you at the moment and you don't need 3D, then I would stay where you are.

If you are not using HD audio to an amp then save your money, Video quality is the same.
For the cost of the upgrade £70 in the uk it's not worth it.
