BSOD "Custom Error"

It means it's configured - you probably want to disable the paging file entirely, and then reboot. Once rebooted, delete pagefile.sys, and reboot again. Once back in, set the paging file size to be windows managed and reboot a third time. Assuming you reboot and it crashes again, you should get a dmp file in \Windows\ at that point.

I have two partitions on my HDD: OS and storage, I assume I only need one on the OS partition?

Yes - page file on OS drive c:

Set virtual memory settings = "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives" - top-left of screen

That would give me a PF for my 2nd partition too, though. But I have done for now, I can get rid of it later if it's not needed.

Now I'm just waiting for a BSOD... I feel like a rare game hunter, except maybe without the "rare" part.

Just got another BSOD on selective startup mode.

Didn't crash for ages, then 3 BSODs in two days.

This appears to be the Daemon Tools Virtual Bus driver, which is causing the exception to disk, which is causing the bugcheck. If you uninstall Daemon Tools (and make sure this driver is gone after the reboot), I'm suspecting the problem will go away.

That should have been caught from the beginning but at the time I wasn't aware of the dtsoftbus driver and overlooked it. Glad everythings working out for you.
