BSOD possibly from Nvidia nvlddmkm.sys Driver

HDTune keeps causing BSOD. First one occurred within a few mintues of starting the Error scan, managed to take a pic of it. Second occurred after the scan had been running for 30-40 minutes, did not get a pic. Both crashes were caused by different files. Benchmark scan was the only thing that ran properly.

I don't know if it completed or not, I left it running an when I came back the program was closed. I will try running it again.

Quick Error check with HD Tune found nothing

Every time I try to start tests with Seagate, it says "Problem logging to file, log not saved"

Actually, I have been trying all of your suggestions in normal mode. I am able to run it as long as the Display Adapter Driver is disabled under the Device Manager. If that adapter is turned on, I can only start in safe mode or I get BSOD immediately from the nvlddmkm.sys driver if I try to start normally.

It isn't really smart to ask at multiple forums for help, the suggestions could collide against other suggestions what may cause more problems then meant to be.

Hi Axe0, I appreciate all the help you have offered so far, I realize that you do not have to do that at all. That said, I'm not sure what you mean by competing suggestions, as hardly anyone else has taken the time to offer any suggestions to me.

I only posted on the w7forums site because I mistook it for this one, sevenforums. I have used this site in the past and received help very quickly, so after 3 days of no one offering suggestions on w7, I looked around and found this site again.

Yes, I also posted on the Nvidia forums and the EVGA forums. I had hoped the makers of the drivers or the manufacturer of my card could offer a quick solution, even if it was to tell me my GPU is dying.
That being said, few people have offered suggestions on either site, and they were pretty much limited to "try uninstalling and reinstalling your graphics drivers" or "try installing old driver ###."

In truth Axe, the only suggestions I have tried other than the ones you have provided me, was to use Display Driver Uninstaller to attempt a clean removal of my drivers and reinstall old ones, and I tried that before your first reply to this thread. I'm not trying to anger you or shift blame to you, I am just attempting to clear things up.

nvlddmkm.sys "Attempt to reset the display driver and recover from timeout failed" Stop code 0x00000116.

It was suggested to me that this may indicate that it could be the GPU or PSU is failing, and that I should try to use them in another computer to see if I keep getting the error. Unfortunately I don't have ready access to another PC that I could attempt this in.

This gave me a thought however. Both my Monitor and PSU are the oldest components of my PC. They are each nearly 10 years old, but all other components are less then 5. I do not seem to be having any other issues in regards to power or display....but could it be possible that the connectors for my monitor are wore out and are causing the GPU to error out? It would seem like I would have more issues with the display if that were the case, but I had to ask.
