Solved BSOD when closing games.

I tried reproducing some BSOD's, and unfortunately, I was successful. I'll be uploading the report with this post.

But to answer your questions, no it is not, and I am currently installing the SouthBridge drivers you linked me to, thanks.

Nothing new in these dumps. What are you doing to reproduce the BSOD?

EDIT: One of your BSOD was 0x3B http://www.carrona.org/bsodindx.html#0x0000003B. Known causes could be memory so that's why I'm going to have you run these tests.

I see we haven't had you run any diagnostic tests.
Please run these tests
1. Memtest86 - Run for 7-8 passes - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html
2. Prime95 - Run all three tests for a couple hours each - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/100352-cpu-stress-test-prime95.html

Well, mine started around 2/26 earlier this year, and most (nearly everyone) happen when I play a game for a long period of time, usually longer than 30 minutes, and when I close it, I will either crash, or get a BSOD. (Assassin's Creed 2, Minecraft, or even Starcraft 2 can make this happen.)

EDIT: Alright, I will run the Memtest overnight, and start Prime95 tomorrow morning.

Did you successfully install those southbridge drivers?

What type of PSU do you have? If your crashes are related to resource intense games then your problem might be PSU related unless it's the issue with this usb driver.

I have yet to reboot Windows for the driver to actually "finish" installing, I will do that as soon as Starcraft 2 finishes patching.

But as for my PSU, I consulted with HP's website, and saw that it was a measly 250W, and also confirmed this by looking at my actualy supply unit. This could be the issue, because I switched from an old Dell that had 400W, and I transferred my graphics card to the new HP.

And pertaining to the link you gave me, the only thing that would have any effect on my problem would be background programs.

Yes this can most definitely be the issue. Stop by your local computer shop and pick up a decent psu. Make sure first that you'll be able to return it.

I hate to bump this around, BUT I believe my problem is solved *crosses fingers*. And hopefully I didn't just jinx myself. Since your comment about power supply, I decided to check around to see if I had a larger one, I did, and it was a 400W. Unfortunately, it wouldn't work because it was missing on plug that I needed. But I found that when replugging my original PSU up, one of the plugs was VERY tough to get in, and that's what i believe was the issue-it simply wasn't plugged in all the way. But anyhow, thanks for the help y'all. And +REP to anyone who helped me in this.
