BSOD when trying to install AVG Free version 9

I received my first Windows 7 BSOD today. I was trying to install AVG Free Version 9.
Sure would be nice one day to not see BSOD's.

My wife started having problems with her old version of AVG over the last week or so.
Today she switched to the Microsoft Security Essentials program and is quite happy with it.
