Solved cd player does not work

Hi there,

My cd player doesn't "want" to work, when i insert a cd (i have a portable pc) nothing happens, maybe a light show my pc is working, then it eventually stops and... nothing. When i double clic the cd player which is supposed to read it says "application not found" some screens :

I update most of my drivers, check my computer for virus with malwarebites, cleaned it with ccleaner and junk removal tool, and then analysed it with my antivirus

Because of their exposure to dust and debris, optical drives are second only to floppy drives (remember those?) for failures. The cooling fans on computers suck dust through every opening in the computer, including the optical drive. It may be that the drive just needs to be cleaned with a cleaning disk, but it may also be that it has failed. If it is a tray type drive, replacement is simple. If it is a slot load drive, you may want to get a USB external.
