As you can see in Doc's pic, the GPU fan, the CPU fan and the case fan or fans will all do their jobs, so there will be no stag-net air so to speak.

If you look at the pics of my machine, you will see the 120mm CPU fan along with three intake and two exhaust 140mm fans, plus the GPU fan. No overheating going on here !

Normally the top, or first PCIe slot is a X16 slot which has the most bandwidth when used alone.

ok. i got 2 x16 slots. the mobo supports crossfire and SLI such a sweat deal for $50 after i bought, the day after it went back up to $70

Check the specs though, I suspect if you use a SLI setup the slots will be x8+x8.

then order the stuff you really want ?

You can`t cancel an order. You can check the return policy, if it lets you return an item, you will pay a 15% restocking fee, and you will have to pay for your shipping again when they ship you out the new item. If you ask them nicely they might pay for the return shipping.

If you run sli the slots run at 8x speed, don`t worry about it.

And as mentioned if you use 1 card it goes in the slot closest to the cpu .

The obvious reminder: Please watch videos about how to apply thermal paste, it's nothing special but most greens forget it their first build, and then when they power up the beast they fry their CPU. If you didn't buy it already, buy some thermal paste. No, peanut butter looks similar but won't do.

Any brand should be fine, since you are using the stock cooler anyway. I have a ridicolous amount of MX-2 (i think), that so far never let me down. It's rather old-ish though.

Also, let your system settle for a while before you even start thinking about overclocking. You should not really need it.

idk. i like the one on my laptop a lot. like the way it feels. its easy to push, and i know like where all the keys are. i dont press some by accident.

so im going to look for something close to that and wireless and not long lol

i know how to put thermal paste on lol. and anyways, it comes on the heatsink already. no need to put any on.

also not going to be OCing for a while. not at least until i need it.

The keys are in the same place for all US qwerty keyboards. Some may have extra keys for games or macros though.

Any dvd rom drive will allow you to install, if you are not looking for top burn speeds etc....yes that will work
