Computer randomly blue screens

Right the only way I could get any RAM besides what I have now would be to buy some new RAM :/ the friend whom I've borrowed parts from before is out of town for the next few weeks. All the ram that I'm seeing on Newegg says something along the lines of "Compatible with Intel LGA1155/LGA1156 and AMD AM3/Llano/AM3+ platforms
Intel XMP support for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Generation Intel Core Processors"

I actually did a little research this morning myself and found that certain XMP RAM does "work" with AMD systems, but it has to be specifically designed to do so. There is really no point in having an XMP module with an AMD board since the AMD system will not fully utilize the capability and it is likely to cause more conflicts than it is worth. See Why the strange wording? [Archive] - Steam Users' Forums for more details.

Well I guess that that wasn't it:/ Game froze for about a minute at a time then would be normal for about 20 seconds and would freeze again. I was trying to play Tribes: Ascend it was acting the same in Diablo III but I was not able to log onto Diablo III so it didn't have the opportunity to BSOD.

Check your hard disk connections. That crash often means your hard disk is not connected properly.

As you add and remove hardware, follow these steps for ESD safety:
  1. Shut down and turn off your computer.
  2. Unplug all power supplies to the computer (AC Power then battery for laptops, AC power for desktops)
  3. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds to close the circuit and ensure all power drains from components.
  4. Make sure you are grounded by using proper grounding techniques, i.e. work on an anti-static workbench, anti-static desk, or an anti-static pad. Hold something metallic while touching it to the anti-static surface, or use an anti-static wristband to attach to the anti-static material while working. If you do not have an anti-static workbench, desk, or pad, you can use your computer tower/case by finding a metal hold in it, such as a drive bay.
Once these steps have been followed, it is safe to remove and replace components within your computer.

Sorry the RAM did not fix the problems. :( It should at least provide some additional stability, though.

Yeah it sucks, but atleast I have better ram out of it. I'm trying to stay on the bright side it can be quite depressing. I checked HDD connections but I'm going to bed right now. I'll test it tomorrow.

Well, at least we're narrowing causes down... We'll have to see if it was a connection issue before proceeding further.

I would recommend removing all ASUS utilities and see if that helps at all. You may also want to remove Daemon Tools (DT) and see if the system is more stable. DT can be problematic for some systems.

Okay the only two things that I found that came with my old MoBo that I forgot to delete was VIA HD Audio and Renesas USB 3.0 control center (something like that) I couldn't find Daemon Tools on my system (didn't remember downloading it in the first place)

Oh sorry, was looking at an old info file. Asrock Utilities should also probably be removed. They have the same drivers as ASUS utilities, which is what confused me.

Remove this: ASRock > App Charger, it causes the USB ports to enter a power state that can cause conflicts and crashing.
