Glad to hear that you have it working again and thanks for the Rep. If you want to install it again you may consider installing it with VMPlayer. This tutorial is for Zorin, but it works for any distro and was written by the infamous WHS. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/278957-vmware-player-install-setup-zorin.html You won't have those problems if it gets messed up, and it is quite simple. Here is the VMware Player tutorial for Mint Mate - and the ultimate, Mint Mate on a stick. But all of that applies to any Linux system. Only the terminal commands for the VMware tools are different (in the case of VMware Player). For the stick versions you need nothing extra.

By the way, his tutorials on VM Player work quite well. I used them and am running XP, Linux and Windows 8.1 in VM Player.

Thanks Jack, no, of course not. That was a file conversion site that I happen to have on the clipboard. I must have forgotten to copy the right one to the clipboard. Let me correct that.

Update: It is fixed, LOL.
