Yeah I loved every minute of the game myself.

BTW I gather you have the Exiled Prince DLC since you have Sebastian? I bought that one when I got the game on release day. Point is that's the only DLC I know of for now.

Anyway the ending is epic. Good game, despite the changes.

i do have exiled prince, nice little addition. it would be nice to have more dungeons, different areas, more weapons and armor sets for everyone not just hawke. something like awakening but longer, much much longer and with good plot

The game is not short at all i must say and i have no idea how most of the people finished DA2 so quickly maybe most of them skipped or missed side/companions quests etc. :huh: or they play game all day and night without breaks. Everytime i choose different companions i get new quests Got dozens of quests from Boards, Chests, Barrels, People and more. Though the game and places gets repitative at times but the plots are differents whenever im about to finish the secondary quests my list just pop out with new ones lol.

Hmmm who said it was short? It is however shorter than Origins.

Dragon Age:Origins = 177 hours
Dragon Age Awakening = 47 hours

I seriously thought I would never finish DA:O, there was always something to so. I did beat DA2 faster then I thought I would, and I got to level 22. It got a bit stale, since it all took place in kirkwall and sundermount.

Yeah it seemed like DA:O took me ages to finish. Dragon Age 2 was like I'm here now.... the end. In a funny kind of way I expected it to be shorter, but was very happy it wasn't. Yeah it's not as long as DA:O but at least it wasn't too short.

BTW I earned the "Easily Sidetracked" achievement in Dragon Age: Origins

boogieboy, I did every sidequest I could find on my first 2 playthroughs and found it quite short.

I actually don't hunt for achievements; I just play the game and what achievements I get I get. I just remember that one popping up when I did one too many side quests. It made me laugh

As for DLC I’m kind of iffy there. I didn’t get any of the paid DLC for Dragon Age: Origins, and the only reason I got the DLC for DA2 was because it was a day 1 release with the game. However I feel like it should have been included in the game, not a separate DLC.

Personally I feel like game companies are intentionally releasing shorter games with the intent of milking us dry with "DLC" content - stuff that should have been in the game anyway. I can not understand how you could have a day 1 DLC ready to sell with a day 1 game release unless you are trying to milk your customers for every penny you can get.

With that said, I have purchased nearly all the DLC (excluding the appearance packs) for Mass Effect 2, but this is stuff that's come out months later, plus I really do love Mass Effect. BTW there is a new DLC for Mass Effect 2 scheduled for release on 29 Mar 2011

Anyway even though I like the DA series it depends on when and what it is that may sway me to purchase more DA2 DLC (maybe).

I completely agree with you on the milking thing. But what can we do? That's a serious question, I've had it with EA. Too a lesser extent, I've also had it with bioware, messing up DA2. where's the love?

I'm in Act III now and this is my First PT and so far I would say that one my favorite Characters in game DA2 is Isabela & Varric besides my Hawk. The much i liked Anders in Awakening the more i hate him in DA2 and he acts like he's the only person in the world who is different and that has been left alone and there's no one for him and he's way too emotional. Aveline is like mean woman who wants to get things done and in return she will show her attitude. Too bad sweet Bethany is locked inside the circle and can't play with her for now or idk maybe at all. Fenris and Merrill are great too and i like them both but Fenris is one mean killing machine and can take on dozens of people alone and smash 'em up real bad. Anders and Aveline are not for me though i have to use Anders as a healer and made him up with pretty strong Attributes as compared to Merrill. That was my opionion what about your on Characters ?

Anyway I kind of felt like I was stuck with Anders as I wanted a healer. On my next playthrough I'll have to change that mindset and build Merrill up real good, or play a Mage myself.

Fenris is bad ass, but I felt Aveline was just as bad. Varric's arrow skills are awesome. With me playing a Rogue with archer skills, having Varric and his skills, we made a heck of a team in certain situations, and I always made sure I kept him alive.

I pretty much took Varric on 90 percent of my quests, even paring him with Sebastian, though that felt unbalanced as I had to play tank, once I went down, things got hairy.

I liked Isabella but really didn’t use here as much as I did Aveline, Varric, and Anders. In fact that was pretty much my team throughout most of the game though I would switch up here and there just to see what others had to offer, or where they were required.

Anyway I don’t want to say too much as you’re just starting Act 3 so….

I'm also playing as Rogue and 90% of the times i have Varric and Anders (Healing as well) and Isabela with Isabela in my party i have extra damage+dexerity reward too as im using daggers on both. Varric fire power is way too good and agreed with you

Anyway Daggers are king! Especially with high dexterity.

I missed out on the romantic thing - I was trying to be choosey and not suffer a penalty like I did In DA:O with Morrigan when I slept with her, then chose and slept with Liliana

I was really going to sleep with Isabella but messed around and missed out as I decided on Aveline.... and in the end got nothing

I did however have to fight like hell to keep Anders off me - I'm a Male Rogue.

Ironically I missed out on the romance thing in Mass Effect 2 as I was trying to be too cool. I need to remember this is a game, not real life..... oh wait..... I don't get that much action in real life

Oh i can understand that how things worked in DA:O. In Dragon Age i slept with Leliana than with Alistair but later i did the ritual and forced Alistair to sleep with Morrigan and used the Uncut Romance haha i was female Warrior in it.

In Mass Effect 2 i slept with Miranda she's hot as hell (Yvonne Strahovski). In real life getting that kind of action is really hard LOL ... for me too dont worry.
