Well in my country dial-up is reality and it is still main conection to the internet, imagine comercials on tv and papers for dial-up!!!... But last few years we got ADSL and WDSL so it is a little better now... Thank GOD!!! else ill be stuck with that 36kb/s for ages...

Almost forgot about dial-up. Remember using a 300 baud modem. That is back in the prehistoric era of computers. Even worse trying to get a modem to work in Windows 3.1. I feel old, time to book space in the old folks home.

dont feel bad. i am actually surprised that there's internet where i live. let alone broadband.... im quit possibly their only customer, which would explain having no monthly download cap.

Always good to have a back-up, whether it be dial-up or you neighbors wifi that he decided not to pass-protect.

ive not used it since late 90s .
the reason why i hate it or should i say hated it because when i was young and used to sneak downstairs to go on the internet in the middle of the night looking at por... i mean my emails
that dial up tone was just to damn loud when i was in stealth mode
