Ethernet controller showing (2) in brackets under device manager, netw

Hi - after my repair install of windows 7 sp1, under my Device Manager>network adapters>its says the name of the hardware then has a (2) beside it.

Does that effect any normal network operations or should I download the latest network driver for my mobo from ASUS.

Shouldn't cause an issue, but perhaps you can create a manual System Restore point (http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.html) and then delete the adapter in Device Manager and restart the PC so Windows can auto-install it.

If its not going to hinder anything I might leave it, don't want to muck around with system restore and deleting devices just wanted to check it wouldn't cause any problems.
